Angel’s In the Wings will be located at 1001 Hwy 2297 in Callaway. This is a 10 acre plot of land that prior to the Hurricane had nature trails, a huge pond, barn and pastures and a home… and was simply breathtaking to behold. For about 2 years we were in negotiations to purchase the property for Angels. We were completely blessed to be able to complete our purchase of this land AFTER the hurricane at a tremendous savings- even though there was significant damage. This was the first step to getting Angels off the ground.
Our family currently resides in the main house and have added a new roof and siding and began some of the land clearning. The barn still needs a new roof- and there are still acres of downed trees. We have begun taking in rescue animals- many of whom will remain to become therapy animals for our residents.
Our needs are many- but we have overcome the initial hurdle- WE HAVE THE LOCATION. Now- to find the financing to transform this into a facility that is so very needed in our community!
