Well- we found out our GoFundMe was paused- so we RESTARTED IT! YAY! Also found out our non-profit status was out of date and had to be reinstated- SO submitted for reinstatement- so waiting on the process… could take 90 days but we hope not!!!
In the meantime- we have a grant writer working behind the scenes- THANK YOU PATRICIA- and also have an app in for commercial loans. Keep praying we can move forward soon! I am still getting calls WEEKLY concerning children AND adults needing homes NOW…. Powerball has rolled over- so playing that as well LOL. God’s time and not our own- but I feel that He is saying IT IS TIME! Keep praying friends!

I haven’t updated in a little bit- but I have been working behind the scenes apply.ings for grants and reaching out to others that may be able to assist us. As Covid has taken a hold on our area less than 2 years after we struggled through a cat 5 hurricane- it has become more and more urgent that we open I have fielded calls from all over the state where some of our children as well as handicapped adults have been sent and are in desperate need of placement locally. I hate having to tell these people no- having to dash their hopes once again- but until we can get funding or some assistance we are at a standstill. I currently only owe around 100K on the property- so I would be MORE than willing to undertake a loan that would allow us to open. We need the land cleared- we need to obtain modulars or cabins- there is a LOT to be done- but it is all doable with community assistance or funding opportunities. These children should not have to be 8 hours from everything they know. There is money out there- Hurricane money- Covid money- and those who are investors who could possibly assist us in getting up and running. We just have to make the right connections. If you KNOW someone who could help- have ideas- ANYTHING- please message me. If there are contractors out there who would be willing to maybe build at least one structure- companies who would be willing to come in and clear land… people who have structures they are willing to donate… OR if someone would give us a tractor- or sell it to us on monthly payments- I could do the clearing myself. Anyone with vehicles they are willing to donate…. I just need the resources and I KNOW they are out there! The land is here- my family is living here and trying to do everything we can to improve it as we go… just need NOT hand outs- but a Hand up.
Please continue to pass on our info to anyone who is in a position to assist us! This would not only help the children and adults needing our care- but it would provide much needed jobs on this end of the county.
